CHARACTER INFORMATION

Name: Bequin.

Gender: Female.

Age: Twenty four.

Class: Ranger.

Place of Birth: Dinog Village, Eiglophian Mountains.

Profession (tanner, adventurer, stable boy, tracker, etc): Guide & tracker.

Physical Description:

Light footed, lithe and pale skinned, Bequin is a true personification of the mountains of her homeland. Her skin is pale, with a large birthmark covering most of her chest and arms. She tends to eschew armor for the most part, preferring to stick to light leather armor and a warm cloak that allows her the freedom to traverse the rocky crevices that surround her village.

Mental Description:

With a natural quietness that comes from many days of hunting and tracking, Bequin is a woman of few words. Whilst not averse to conversation at the best of times, the recent culture shock that has come from her current employment (see below) means that she is currently trying to wrap her head around the many differences that other parts of Hyboria have to the relatively simplistic nature of Dinog.

Background:

Bequin's parents were two of the scouts for Dinog village, keeping a watchful eye on the wall ramparts for the presence of the cannibals which inhabited the surrounding area. It was only logical that she would follow in her parents footsteps, picking up the bow and blade to watch over Dinog village, and assist the travellers that appeared sporadically with safe routes to wherever it was that they wished to go.

Five years passed and her parents had another daughter, Elsbeth. As the years went by and they both grew older, it became clear that Elsbeth had the mark of the bear, and slowly but surely, Bequin was left to her own devices as Elsbeth garnered the attention of the village. Her power, whilst not stong, was subtle, with a penchant for communing with the spirits. It was at the age of 20 that Bequin found herself out in the wilderness more than she was at home, unable to bear the glorified stature that Elsbeth had gained.

A steady increase in the flow of travellers as the cannibals were slowly pushed back into certain areas of the land surrounding the mountains allowed Bequin to begin to build up her coffers. Traders would pay good silver to survive an ambush, or not to be ambushed at all. Several more years passed, with Bequin finding herself living out in the wilderness more and more. The trade slowed, and with it Bequin's coffers. When she did stop back in Dinog to purchase more supplies with what little coin she had left, she found a happy family completely oblivious to the fact that one of their daughters had practically disappeared. Her parents welcomed her with open arms, and her sister looked at her with a reverence of sorts, but to Bequin it was all very forced. It was obvious that she was upsetting the status quo of the family, and it was then that she decided to leave for good. She didn't have long to wait. As the days closed on the new year, she spotted a solitary armored figure on horseback, slowly heading in the direction of Dinog. The figure was barely dressed for the cold of the Cimmerian winter, with merely a thin tattered cloak wrapped around it in a vain attempt to retain some heat. Watching the figure slowly plod towards Dinog, she decided to assist despite the apparent danger of the situation, walking out from the treeline with bow in hand towards the horse.

Several months later, she found herself in Old Tarantia, following a man as the moon fitifully attempted to shine through the rain clouds that were pouring their contents over the city. A brooch with an inlayed M clasped her cloak around her, and beside her stood a woman with raven black hair and a thick dark blue cloak. Her name was Estray, and she was in her employ.
